ITER. International Thermonuclear Experimental Reactor
ITER nuclear fusion reactor, the largest science and engineering project in history. With the collaboration of 35 countries to build the world’s largest Tokamak, a magnetic fusion device designed to demonstrate the feasibility of fusion as a large-scale, carbon-free energy source, based on the same principle by which the sun and stars generate their energy. The total cost of the project is currently estimated at approximately 18 billion Euros.
