Metro Line 6 C. Universitaria
Line 6 is, together with Line 12, one of the Madrid Metro’s two circular lines. It serves as the backbone of the system, facilitating transfers between outlying destinations and avoiding the radiality which would be caused by its absence. It consists of 28 stations with 115-metre platforms, linked by 23,472 km of tracks in a wide gauge tunnel. Passengers can transfer twice to all lines in the network (three times for Lines 3 and 4) with the exception of Lines 8 and 11, which depart from the circular line and do not enter that line, and the outlying lines (such as line 12 and the Metro Light Rail Lines).
