OUR PROJECTS
Yanango Tunnel
Key data
Includes the construction of retaining walls, two false tunnels and the lining of the tunnel interior
System implemented
Comprehensive steel construction service: Supply, fitting out and industrially reinforced steel reinforcement, and installation of steel already sized and/or reinforced “in situ”, of the various structures which made up the work – For the tunnel mouth, 2 walls (with cantilevers) were built on each side of the road, founded on footings to contain the soil filling. – The entry portals consisted of two false tunnels, which spanned from the start of the tunnel until touching the entire rock section. – The use of electrowelded mesh was necessary, and its installation was carried out to reinforce the shotcrete. This project was undertaken to address the traffic problem which was repeatedly generated at the crossing of the Yanango River ravine on the Tarma – La Merced road. To that end, the design proposed the construction of a tunnel which passes under said ravine to avoid continuous traffic interruptions in the sector.
