Comuneros Bridge

Key data

Bridge located over the Mantaro River, in Junín which connects the provinces of Huancayo and Chupaca segundo, considered in 2013 as the second largest bridge in Peru which is 300 meters long. The structure is supported by two 53 metres high twin pylons or towers.

System implemented

Comprehensive steel construction service: Supply, fitting out of industrially reinforced steel reinforcement, and installation of the steel already sized “in situ”, of the various structures which made up the work. The execution was carried out under enormous complexity due to the increase in the level of the Mantaro River, which sometimes overflowed its banks. The pile installation and driving was carried out under a cocked system, and by oscillation at a depth of 25 metres, the latter was carried out with the oscillometer, this method was chosen as the water table had been reached.
